What's the Point?

So what is the Point?

According to the documentation about our new pay system (RRECS)

The pace requried is that of an experienced and motivated worker of normal skill and ability working at a normal daywork pace.

Well, I can tell you, regarding letters at 86 pieces per minute, that's a load of hogwash.

These standards were developed by engineers, approved by USPS management, and signed off by the National Rural Letter Carrier Association.
But ask anyone who actually works the mail. They will just look at you and laugh. 86ppm simply isn't possible.

So, the point of this site is to demonstrate the absurdity of this new standard. Hopefully this will wake up the top union officials, and get some fight for realistic standards. If not, hopefully it wakes up the union membership, and we get some new top union officials :)

I'll post updates in this blog, as they become available. Please reach out to me at 86ppm.org@gmail.com if you have any questions, concerns, or would just like to chat!
